Appellation. AOC Bordeaux is a regional appellation that showcases all the skills and know-how of the Bordeaux wine region. Although famous for its red wines, this region has made white wines since a long time: it is also the birthplace of fine, world-famous sweet wines: these legendary wines served as inspiration for our Baron de Lestac sweet white Bordeaux.
Wine making Sémillon and Muscadelle were chosen to make Baron de Lestac sweet white wine. These two Bordeaux varieties are picked when fully ripe to get juice with maximum concentration. The fermentation process is stopped before completion to obtain a wine with a perfectly balanced sugar level.
Sémillon is the main grape used for sweet white wines. Often grown on shallow soils of gravel and clay-limestone, this variety gives the wine body and structure. It is often blended with Muscadelle, a very fragile grape for its floral notes.
Baron de Lestac sweet white Bordeaux is a balanced wine with mouth-watering exotic and citrus fruit aromas
